"Strawberry Thief" stands as a defining masterpiece in William Morris's work, inspired by the sight of thrushes sneaking under nets to steal strawberries in the gardens of Kelmscott Manor, Oxfordshire. The intricate design was meticulously created over several days, with each colour applied using hand-carved woodblocks, making it one of Morris's most luxurious fabrics. First introduced in 1883, it remains one of his most enduring and beloved patterns. The 'Strawberry Thief Sage and Pink' variant, with its soft blush and sage tones, brings a refined elegance to any interior, especially with its matt finish.
